Technical principle of 3D resin printer in the market:

After the first layer is formed, the object will be slightly raised and the shape of the next layer of model will be projected onto the resin, so as to print the model repeatedly and in a cascade manner.

The principle of LCD is similar to that of DLP, but the light source of DLP is replaced by LCD. It is the imaging principle of LCD panel. Driven by the computer and display circuit, the computer program provides the image signal, and a selective transparent area appears on the LCD screen. Ultraviolet light passes through the transparent area and irradiates the photosensitive resin consumables in the resin tank for exposure and curing. At the end of each layer of curing time, the platform support plate lifts the cured part, Let the resin liquid replenish and reflux, the platform drops again, and the thin layer between the model and the release film is exposed to ultraviolet light again. Thus, it is solidified and printed layer by layer into a beautiful three-dimensional model.

LCD technology principle:

The three types of printers are similar in principle. They are light curing, and their consumables are no different.

2. The printing principles of LCD and DLP are similar, but the light sources are different.
Advantages over DLP:
1. The price is cheaper. DLP light source is very expensive, so the price of its machine is not cheap.
2. The printing area is larger. Compared with DLP, the printing area will be limited. When the printing area is large, the light source will be dispersed, resulting in poor effect.
3. Under the same printing area, the printing accuracy of LCD is usually better than that of DLP. Unless it uses a high pixel optical machine, it will also make it more expensive. At present, most of the optical mechanical pixels used by DLP machines in the market are 2K, and even some high-end and expensive brands, such as envisiontec in Germany and asiga in Australia, use 2K optical machines.

DLP disadvantages:

1. The service life of the equipment is much shorter than that of the DLP machine. The effect of LCD light screen and lamp beads will decline or even damage over time, but it can be replaced with new LCD screen and lamp beads, and the replacement cost is not high. If the DLP optical machine is damaged, the whole machine is useless. It's better to buy a new optical machine.
2. DLP has excellent effect and higher accuracy for small area printing size requirements. This advantage is more applicable to the jewelry field. For the demand of the dental field in the current market, the too small area is only suitable for printing crowns, bridges, etc. the number of surgical guides and repair models is very limited. And for the field of Dentistry, the requirement for accuracy is far less than that of this kind of machine.
3. High DLP printing stability. According to the technical principles of the two printers, the effect of LCD depends on the combination of lamp beads and LCD screen, while DLP printer only depends on optical machine. There are more influencing factors, resulting in a higher probability of damage - printing is impossible to ensure 100% success, and the printing is perfect. Of course, this is not decisive. 4. DLP printing speed is higher. The output power of DLP light source is higher, which can effectively reduce the resin exposure time, so as to reduce the printing time. Compared with high prices, there are always advantages.

Advantages over SLAs:

1. Printing speed is faster than SLA technology printer. SLA uses a laser beam to draw objects on the surface of liquid resin, point to line, and then line to surface. Therefore, the printing speed is relatively slow.
2. LCD machine has higher printing accuracy in small area. Although both of them can achieve micron level printing accuracy, the accuracy requires high requirements for laser and galvanometer. If you want to achieve high accuracy, the cost will increase greatly.
Advantages over SLAs:
1. Long service life of laser. Long service life and high price.
2. Large size model printing with higher accuracy. In the face of large-scale printing, LCD accuracy will lose a lot, resulting in poor accuracy.
