The first is the printing accuracy
The accuracy of the XY axis of UV curing printing depends on the resolution of the LCD screen. At present, the machines on the market range from 0.04-0.07mm, which generally will not exceed 0.1mm, while the XY accuracy of FDM machines depends on the nozzle diameter, which is generally 0.4mm. Therefore, the accuracy of UV curing 3D printers can not be achieved by FDM machines with the same price. Therefore, when printing more detailed parts, UV curing machines need to be considered.

The second is the printing speed
The forming principle of UV curing is to expose one surface each time, print layer by layer on the plane, and print layer by layer on FDM, that is, the printing time of UV curing equipment only depends on the height of parts, regardless of how many parts are printed at the same time. The printing time of FDM depends on the volume and quantity of parts. Therefore, the smaller the printing height and the more the number, the longer the printing time of FDM, and the UV curing machine will be much faster than FDM.

Then there are transparent parts
Because FDM is composed of lines, there will be some gaps, so even if transparent materials are used for printing, the final effect can only be good light transmittance, while the light curing 3D printer can directly print the transparent part, and the surface can also be added with a little light oil. The transparent effect is close to that of injection molded parts, which is far from FDM.
