Common troubleshooting and technical support of Piocreat G12 - printing problems

2022/09/15

1. Print model trim
1.1 Check the contact area of the model: if the contact area is relatively small, it is recommended to add a cushion or rotate the model;
1.2 The nozzle is too far from the platform, so it is recommended to adjust the Z-axis compensation value;
1.3 Special materials, such as PP&PC materials, are prone to edge warping or have poor adhesion, so special platform glue should be applied.
1.4. Some materials need constant temperature environment. It is recommended that the machine start to work, and both sides and front doors should be closed.
2. The surface of the printed model has a deep layer
2.1 Check whether the nozzle temperature is too high, which leads to excessive extrusion, and the nozzle temperature can be appropriately reduced;
2.2 Check whether there is overlap between layers, and reduce the extrusion flow if necessary;
2.3 If the 3D printing speed is too fast, the printing speed can be reduced appropriately. Generally 80-90%.
3 Printing model layer staggering
3.1 First, check whether the left and right layers are staggered or front and rear layers are staggered: 1) If the left and right layers are staggered, check whether the X-axis synchronous belt or synchronous wheel is loose; 2) If the front and rear layers are staggered, check whether the Y-axis belt and reduction gear are fixed tightly;
3.2 If the model is staggered at the same height, check whether the Z-axis position slips or the movement is not smooth;
4. The printed model is partially incomplete
4.1 Too few supports are added to effectively pull the model and add new supports;
4.2 If the wall thickness of the model is less than 2mm, the effect printed by the machine will also be poor. The wall thickness can be increased to ensure that the wall thickness is at least 2mm;
4.3 The nozzle temperature may be too low, resulting in insufficient extrusion;
5. The printing model is always inclined;
5.1 Check that the model inclines to the XY axis: if the model inclines to the X axis, the X axis solid-state drive is faulty;
5.2 If it inclines to the Y-axis, the Y-axis solid-state drive is faulty;
6. Printing model size has deviation
6.1 Test the actual size of XYZ first: if the actual size of an axis is smaller than the design size, we need to increase the motor step value of that axis;
6.2 If the actual size of a shaft is larger than the design size, it is necessary to reduce the motor step value of the shaft;
6.3 Generally, they are tested before delivery and do not need to be adjusted.
