The high-precision model we usually call refers to the model with high order reduction and smooth surface. Under the same external conditions, let's talk about the factors affecting the accuracy of 3D printer itself. What are the factors affecting the accuracy of industrial 3D printers?
1、 Fuselage
Industrial 3D printers vibrate with the movement of the head. The solid body keeps the 3D printer stable, provides stable support for the printing structure, reduces resonance and makes the printing more stable.
2、 Motor
A good motor can make the printing details more accurate, effectively reduce vibration lines and make the model surface more smooth and delicate.
3、 Platform structure
At present, the main platform structure in the market is a three support structure (two sliding blocks and one lead screw), which is located at the rear of the printing platform and plays the role of supporting the platform and ensuring the up and down movement of the platform. However, when the print head works in front of the platform, the platform may vibrate slightly, resulting in printing errors or the influence of the print head and the model under the print head.
Therefore, the platform of 3 + 2 structure came into being. Two slide rails and one lead screw are placed behind the platform, and two lead screws are placed in front of the platform, which not only makes the print head run more smoothly, but also makes the leveling more accurate.
4、 Feed system
The work of industrial 3D printer is to send the printing materials to the print head through the motor for printing. The work of the motor is divided into two parts: one is to "pull" the materials on the material shaft, and the other is to "push" the materials into the feeder.
In order to solve this problem, dual motor power supply appears. Some manufacturers also call it "push-pull feeding". First, one motor is responsible for pulling up the material and smoothly conveying it to the second motor. The second motor specifically provides a material source for the paper feeder, so as to avoid the dislocation of the printing head possibly caused by the paper feeding resistance.
5、 Slide rail, lead screw
3D printing is layer by layer printing, and the printing is millimeter level. No errors can be tolerated. When printing models on the same layer, the print head moves in different directions through the slide rail. When printing on different layers, the platform also needs to move downward through the slide rail and lead screw. Therefore, the high-quality slide rail and lead screw can make the movement of the platform and print head more accurate and stable, so as to reduce possible errors.
These factors may affect the accuracy of industrial grade 3D printers. In addition to the equipment itself, model printing is also affected by many factors, such as physical environment, consumables quality, modeling quality, slice quality and so on.
